Meet Me-Beowulf

I am Beowulf. I am a young warrior from Geatland. Always eager to fight a battle and celebrate with a great feast! My story begins when....
The Danish king Hrothgar was enjoying a great reign when he begins having trouble in his kingdom with a monster Grendel that has invaded his mead hall. The mead hall is the gathering place of the Danes where they sing and feast, yet Grendel occupies it nightly devouring any Dane who enters. For twelve years Grendel prevents anybody from entering the mead hall causing Hrothgar to be miserable.
From across the sea the Geats(my people) hear of the Danes terrible problem with Grendel and rush myself and a group of my men to aid the Danes. We arrive and immediately prepare to take on Grendel at night. We camp out in the mead hall and wait for Grendel. When he comes we are all asleep, except myself who is only pretending. Grendel snatches up one soldier and eats him. Next he reaches to eat me, but I grab Grendel's arm and rip it off!! Grendel fleas leaving a long trace of blood, and my men and I rejoice knowing Grendel is dead. I then hang Grendels arm from the mead hall, proud and boustful for my victory.

Some memorable quotes from my story

Beowulf: I am Ripper... Tearer... Slasher... Gouger. I am the Teeth in the Darkness, the Talons in the Night. Mine is Strength... and Lust... and Power! I AM BEOWULF!

Grendel's Mother: Are you the one they call Beowulf? Such a strong man you are. A man like you could own the greatest tale ever sung. Beowulf... Stay with me. Give me a son, and I shall make you the greatest king that ever lived. This... I swear...

Beowulf: They say you have a monster here. They say your lands are cursed. I am Beowulf and I'm here to kill your monster.

Beowulf: The sea is my mother! She would never take me back to her murky womb!

Wiglaf: He was the bravest of us. He was the prince of all warriors. His name will live forever.

Beowulf: Keep a memory of me, not as a king or a hero; but as a man: fallible and flawed.

Beowulf: How many monsters must I slay? Grendel's mother, father, Grende's uncle? Must I hack down a whole family tree of demons?
